Almost every week, we take delivery of beautiful eggs from a drive-along farmer. I love the way the feathers stick to the eggs and the sheer beauty of it all.

I remember when I was young and lived in Venezuela. We had the milk man who also had fresh eggs…everything was brought in fresh form the farms
Wow pretty! Here in england you some times find teeny feathers on some of the eggs, they are pretty fresh, but i’ve never seen such a big pretty one like this attached.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

What a stunning photo! I shouldn’t be surprised. Your blog is full of wonders for the eye and palate. As Arnold would say, “I’ll be back.” I hope you are having a wonderful day. Blessings…Mary
very nice. the local farmers market just started up this week and if we get there early enough we can pick up “farm fresh eggs” as well~ it is just a matter of getting there early because they go fast fast fast 🙂
absolutely delightful!
That’s freshness as its finest.
Beautiful and farm fresh! Any chance of you braving poached eggs and Hollandaise with these?
Exquisite. (big long slow satisfied smile)
now thats an egg as it was intended to be……I do wish there were more fresh eggs around here, I remember growing up and driving to pick them up every week, sometimes we would get double yolkers….what a treat!
I love farm fresh eggs. I have a farm less than 3 miles from me and I get eggs all the time! Not with so many feathers on them though – how cool.
Lovely photo! A small flock of chickens has taken up residency in our backyard, and we’ve just had our first homelaid eggs. The excitement is indescribable!
What a beautiful egg!!!
This is awesome! I wish more eggs would come with remnants of feathers.
That is a very beautiful thing.
I would love to get eggs that fresh! Beautiful photo!
We also get our eggs fresh from a farmer–but never with feathers on top!
