I love jars and glass pots.
I collect them, from yogurt ones to Bonne Maman, Weck pots, Mason Jars and the list goes on.
I love gifts. Of food. Of utensils. Or life and love.
These two pots of granola, a wonderful gift from P which made its way from New York without incident are wonderful.
Let me just say they are awesome.
P is such a darling – she made two jars: one with nuts and the other without, in case we suffered from nut allergies.
We haven’t stopped snacking on them since we arrived – everyone, from family to friends. I really should take it off the dining table. Lol.
Granola is a wonderful gift to share, at any time.
Food52.com has a wonderful guide to help you on your way.
It is also quite versatile – you can make bars, use it in parfaits, enjoy as cereal and on and on and on.
Thank you so much P.

Hi KitchenButterfly,
I discovered your website a week ago and I now spent my days dreaming about recipes using Nigerian ingredients. I am new in the country and I like experimenting recipes.
I just saw that you have a collection of jars: any tips where I can buy some? Same for canisters: I did not bring the ones I owned and now I bitterly regret my decision!
Cheers,
CalabariChick
Hello CalabariChick, thank you. To be honest, I get the jars from all sorts of places – some from stores in Lagos (I am constantly checking the aisles) and some when I go away – from Amazon.com, etc. Some are also gifts – so basically every and any where.
Some are recycled jam or food jars…
Where are you based?
