Well, y’all know my love for Agbalumo. And cucumbers…Which got me thinking once I’d made my Cucumber gin, that a G & T would be nice since I sometimes mix my Agbaulmo drinks with soda or tonic water to lighten them.
A gin and tonic is a highball cocktail made with gin and tonic water poured over ice. It is usually garnished with a slice or wedge of lime. The amount of gin varies according to taste. Suggested ratios of gin to tonic are between 1:1 and 1:3; Source – Wikipedia
I began with 4 main components, laid out side by side: Ice with lime wedges, tonic water, agbalumo drink and cucumber gin.
First in the glass – some ice and a squeeze of lime.
Followed by the cucumber gin and all the aromatics – alligator pepper, scent leaves.
After the gin, came the tonic water and then my agbalumo drink.
A stir or two later, I was done – ready to indulge in the clean, fresh, fragrant, sweet, complex blend of gin, tonic, cucumbers, agbalumo, spice and herb.
Definitely a fave.
Really, I’m just finding all the ways to make agbalumo sing and shine. It’s worth it.
Have a good weekend xxx
